Our Story

Empowering Lives Through Horses

Hooves to Heal is a dedicated non-profit organization based in Northern Illinois. Our mission is to promote physical and mental strength, coordination, and dignity through therapeutic horseback riding services. We believe in the transformative power of interacting with horses to bring joy and healing to people of all abilities.

Our Program

Creating Meaningful Connections

At Hooves to Heal, we offer programs that focus on enhancing the well-being and quality of life for individuals through therapeutic horseback riding. Our initiatives aim to improve physical health, mental well-being, and overall enjoyment through unique interactions with our gentle horses.

Therapeutic Riding

Embracing Freedom

Our therapeutic riding program provides individuals with a supportive environment to develop physical strength, balance, and coordination while enjoying the freedom and peace that comes with horseback riding.

Equine-Assisted Therapy

Healing through Connection

Through equine-assisted therapy, individuals can experience emotional healing and personal growth by building trust, communication, and connection with our horses. This therapy offers a unique and effective approach to improving mental well-being and building self-confidence.

Inclusive Programs

Welcoming All Abilities

Our inclusive programs ensure that individuals of all abilities can benefit from the therapeutic effects of interacting with horses. We provide a safe and supportive environment where everyone can experience the joy and empowerment that comes from connecting with these magnificent animals.

Community Outreach

Extending Our Reach

We work with the Marengo High School Transition Program as partners in providing opportunities for young adults with disabilities to learn new job skills that encourage and support independence.

We welcome students looking to fulfill volunteer hours for high school, college classes, or clubs such as National Honor Society and 4H.
